Luxembourg Conference on Cybersecurity
Given the global nature of cyber threats and cyber challenges, national and international cooperation as well as exchange of information are key.
That's why Luxembourg organized an international conference on cybersecurity on November, 23 2011.
Confidence, trust and cooperation were the leading themes of the conference.
Steve Purser, head of the technical department of ENISA, delivered a key note speech on ENISA as a key facilitator for its competences and experience.
The Luxembourg Minister for Justice, Media and Communications, François Biltgen, presented the new Luxembourg cybersecurity strategy to more than 120 experts from the private and the public sector.
The strategy consists in five key priorities:
- protecting the infrastructure and operational systems of communication and information processing;
- modernizing the legal framework;
- developing national and international cooperation;
- informing, educating and raising awareness of the risks;
- establishing binding norms and standards.
Several workshops in the afternoon provided room for reflection and discussion on current challenges.
