Luxembourg is to join with Switzerland to submit a joint candidacy for the chair of the European Space Agency Council at ministerial levels between 2012 and 2015. The joint candidacy would join Switzerland’s years of experience of working with the European Space Agency with Luxembourg’s knowledge of internal European Union processes. Switzerland said in a statement that 2012-2015 will see the clarification of relations between the ESA, the EU and national space agencies.
